Home Is My Haven Where Life Is For Enjoying And Is Worth Living Fully

Gracefully Broken

I was in Dollar Tree last night and there was a lady and two kids behind me in the LONG line. One was a big kid, one was a toddler. The bigger one had a pack of glow sticks and the baby was screaming for them so the Mom opened the pack and gave him one; which stopped his tears. He walked around with it smiling, but then the bigger boy took it and the baby started screaming again. Just as the Mom was about to fuss at the older child, he bent the glow sticks and handed it back to the baby. As we walked outside at the same time, the baby noticed that the stick was now glowing and his brother said: “I had to break it so you could get the full effect from it.” I almost ran because l could hear God saying to me, “I had to break you to show you why I created you. You had to go through it so you could fulfill your purpose.”
That little baby was happy just swinging that “unbroken” glow stick around in the air because he didn’t understand what it was created to do which was “glow”. There are some people who will be content just “being” but some of us that God has chosen, we have to be “broken”. We have to get sick. We have to lose our job. We go through a divorce. We have to bury our spouse, parents, best friend/sibling, or our child because, in those moments of desperation, God is breaking us but when the breaking is done, then we will be able to see the reason for which we were created.. so when you see us glowing just know that we have been broken but healed by his Grace and Mercy!!!
Some of you have experienced being broken and now it’s your time to glow

Seeing yourself in this message

As I read this post on Facebook I immediately thought of all the broken areas of my life some I have overcome, other’s are still a work in progress. In the writing above I have been infused with hope and expectancy of being broken yet for a purpose, a purpose to help another who has also lost hope. When there is hope there is life, with life comes dreams, desires and God given goals and expectancy of a greater purpose. With hope the clouds which have covered the view of our heart can be scattered and a new thing shall Father God do in our lives. Hope is the very inspiration each of us are needing.

This message scatters the clouds where we can now find charity in our storms. Hope is the storm chaser, when that hope is in Father God our Lord.

Isn’t it amazing how glow sticks can be used to illustrate God’s love for us in our brokenness.

We may not understand the trials we go through and may never find the answers until we are face to face with God yet for whatever reason I count my blessings I am broken yet He can still use every broken area in my life to use for his kingdom to come.

You are beautifully broken and set apart for God’s purpose.

Have a blessed day πŸ’–πŸ’‹

  1. Not a problem Teresa. I used to be more tech savvy than I am now; it’s so hard to keep up with the changes! I’ll drop you another email or two… just reply to one when you get them, and we’ll know it’s working. And thanks for your kind words about the Song of Songs conversation. How long the Spirit keeps them coming, I don’t know. It’s a journey of walking with Christ day by day. And oh, by the way, are you on Facebook? We can also connect there. If so, my profile page is: https://www.facebook.com/pam.olivetree. If not, that’s fine. I don’t use it very much myself – drives me batty – but it can serve a decent enough purpose if used for Him. πŸ™‚
