Cooking over an open fire
Finding pleasure in the outdoors
One pleasing attribute of cooler weather is having the pleasure of cooking over an opened flame.
We’ve not completely set everything up yet but I was able to use what is seen in the pictures. There’s more to the cowboy setup such as the rotisserie and maybe one more piece I’m not really sure.
5 bean soup
The five different types of beans I used were pinto,navy and three different types of lima beans;small white baby,large white and green
Beef backbone (brazed) the added
2 bay leaves
1-2 jalapeno pepper slices
Salt & pepper to taste
Cover with water and added as needed. This was served with slices of white bread.
( I did clean and soak the beans overnight)
